The Berean Fellowship of Churches is committed to serving our members and their congregations with the highest level of trust and commitment. The Berean Fellowship takes all allegations of sexual misconduct seriously and is committed to promptly, thoroughly, and equitably investigating any such claims.
Recently we received a report related to a leader who is within our leadership tier. I have instructed the Berean Fellowships’ council of presbyters to immediately initiate a prompt and thorough investigation into these most disturbing matters. In spirit and in letter the Berean Fellowship has a zero tolerance of anyone in our ranks without exception who may have chosen this behavior as a way of life.
Therefore our internal investigation will be conducted fairly and impartially and may involve an external third party. We will make every effort to keep the investigation confidential as well as ensuring a comprehensive review. Until our internal investigation is completed, the said leader has been removed immediately from any and all activities in the Berean Fellowship due to the nature of the allegations, the charges, and the apparent impending legal proceedings to follow.
I as Presiding Bishop, have relied with great trust and transparency upon both my faith and my council of bishops to address this matter. Furthermore, I have accepted the presbyters council of the Berean Fellowships’ decision to remove said leader from our presbyter council and the communion of the Berean Fellowship.
Any and all inquiries about this matter are to be referred to the General Secretary of the Berean Fellowship.
